What is Red Monday?

It’s easy to see how Blue Monday got its melancholy name. The so-called ‘saddest day of the year’ falls on the third Monday of January and is when we are reported to feel at our most glum.

Whether it’s down to the cold weather, feeling ill or simply having to say farewell to the holidays - January is nobody's favourite month.

Turning Blue Monday into Red Monday

Here at DW Fitness First, however, we refuse to give in to the January blues —  and we want you to join us. We’re transforming Blue Monday into Red Monday, by offering everyone in the UK to the chance to hit the gym for free.

This gives people who aren’t currently members the chance to experience working out at their local DW Fitness First gym, as well as giving current members the opportunity to test out our brand new classes. As well as seeing the brilliant facilities that our gyms have to offer, our experienced personal trainers will be close at hand to take you through some of our exciting new fitness classes.

All New Classes

Our bespoke Freestyle Group Training classes are being revamped, with a new season of routines for fans of the popular workouts starting on Monday. This also means veterans of FGT Explore, FGT Bootcamp, FGT HIIT, FGT Glute Gains and FGT Core will get to experience a whole new side to their favourite routines.

As well as adding a breath of fresh air to our classic workouts, Red Monday also offers a range of exciting new classes for both newcomers and existing members to try their hand at. Some of our DW Fitness First gyms will be debuting the following classes next week:

RHYDE - A high energy cycle class that incorporates upper-body conditioning, as well as using the principles of mindfulness.

ROX - Run and Box - This class is split into 50% treadmill and 50% boxing, where you’ll be exercising alongside energetic lights to keep you pumped up.

Cycle - Using market-leading SKILLBIKES, individuals or groups can take part in this cycling class that allows them to monitor their performance on the big screen as they ride.
