Haven’t been cycling for years? Perhaps you’ve not been to an exercise class for a while, what with the pressures of work and home life building up around you. Or maybe you already love spinning and just want more. Whatever your experience, working up a sweat in a Fitness First spinning class just couldn’t be easier or any more fun.
Spinning is an exhilarating and low-impact way to tone muscles and is a very effective way to develop a leaner body. It can strengthen your heart and lungs, and it’s a great stress buster. It’s also satisfyingly good for shedding calories - on average you can burn around 400 to 600 calories in a 40-minute workout. And if that isn’t enough you can set your own pace.
Fitness First spinning classes feature stationary spin bikes, motivating music and experienced and enthusiastic instructors who will guide you through an exhilarating ride via some fat-blasting sprints and thigh-trimming climbs. Remember though, it’s your workout – you control everything from your speed and resistance to your intensity level, so it can be as easy or as challenging as you want it to be. There’s absolutely no pressure, although the motivating atmosphere will soon have you pushing yourself to your limits from start to finish. It’ll leave you feeling reinvigorated and satisfied in the knowledge that you’ve burnt off a serious number of calories.
If it’s your first lesson let your instructor know so that they can make sure your bike is set up correctly, and remember to bring a bottle of water and a towel. Nearly all of our Fitness First gyms offer regular spin classes, which run from 30 to 45 minutes. They’re suitable for all ages and abilities, so why not try a class for free with our free trial guest pass? We also run a spin and abs class, which combines the fat-burning benefits of spin with exercises that target your abs to improve overall fitness and tone your body. You can try one of these for free, too.
