What is FitSteps?
FitSteps is the brainchild of Strictly Come Dancing’s Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite. The class utilises classic dance elements of traditional ballroom dancing as well as the quick movements of Latin to create a fun and energetic fitness class.
What are the benefits of FitSteps?
As well as being a fun way to keep fit and healthy, the quick nature of the class makes it a brilliant way to lose weight, tone your muscles and develop core strength. FitSteps has been meticulously designed by experts in the industry to make sure you’re getting the most out of every movement.
What can I expect from a FitSteps class?
If you’ve taken part in a ballroom or Latin dance class before, you’ll be familiar with some of the moves and steps. Exactly which moves you will be recreating will be up to the discretion of your instructor, but what you can expect is an energising and fast-paced dance workout.
How many calories can you burn in a FitSteps class?
You can burn between 290 and 360 calories an hour. Like any dance class, FitSteps is a brilliant cardio workout, helping you to burn away calories without you even noticing.
Do I need to have experience?
No. Fitsteps is designed for everyone to get involved, so there’s no need for any previous dancing experience. This means you have no excuse for not giving it a go, even if you have two left feet!
